PIERRE, S.D. – The Fremont Moo scored 2 runs in the top of the 10th inning to record a 8-7 win over the Pierre Trappers in Expedtion League Baseball Monday night at Hyde Stadium. The Moo out hit the Trappers 13-11 in the contest and for a second straight night the Trappers had a multi error game in the field committing four. Casey Kostrzewa pitched 2.2 innings of relief and too the loss. Seth Brewer started and went 7.1 innings allowing 6 runs on 11 hits. Cedric Girard, the second of three Moo pitchers, picked up the win with Tom Ginther getting the save. Zane Phelps and Ken Scott hit home runs for the Trappers, both solo shots, as Phelps recorded his league leading 54th RBI. The game was played before an announced crowd of 602. The Trappers lost a game in the second half standings as the Badlands Big Sticks won so they trail the Big Sticks by 3 full games in the Expedition League second half Lewis Division standings. The Trappers and Moo wrap up their brief two game series tonight at 7:05 pm at Hyde Stadium.
