CHAMBERLAIN, S.D. – Mike Schwartz gave up one hit and struck out five batters in 6 1/3 innings to lead Chamberlain past South Central 12-0 in the District 3B tournament on Wednesday. With the win, Chamberlain advances to the Class B state tournament that begins next week in Mitchell. Jayce Byre and Colton Anderson drove in two runs each while Riggs Priebe had two hits for the Mallards. Seven Chamberlain players recorded a hit and six players drove in a run in the game. South Central plays Wessington Springs in the last-chance game on Friday, with the winner qualifying for the state tournament.
