MINOT, N.D. – The Souris Valley Sabre Dogs scored 7 runs in the 6th inning to wipe out a 2-0 deficit and went on to defeat the Pierre Trappers 9-3 in the Trappers second to last game of the season in Expedition League Baseball on Sunday in Minot, N.D. Pierre built that 2-0 lead behind strong starting effort from Jerson Morales who went 5 innings throwing shutout baseball and allowing just 1 hit. But Tiger Cox could not hold up in the 6th surrendering 7 runs on 4 hits in an inning and a third to take the loss. Billy Morland hit a solo home run for the Trappers who outhit the Sabre Dogs 7-6 in the game. Zane Phelps had his team leading 56th RBI in the game for the Trappers. Crew Taylor went deep for Souris Valley who ends the regular season with a 38-26 record. The Trappers have one more game to play tonight at Hyde Stadium when they host the Badlands Big Sticks. It will be Fan Appreciation night at Hyde with the first pitch scheduled for 7:05 pm.
