PIERRE, S.D. – Many of the best slow pitch softball teams in South Dakota will converge on the Oahe Softball Complex this weekend as Pierre hosts the State Men’s B/C Open and D Divisions Tournaments Saturday and Sunday. Tournament play begins Saturday at 9:00 AM with games scheduled through 6:00 PM, and Sunday games scheduled from 9:00 through about 2:00 PM. Four Pierre area teams will be in action as Cone Ag competes in the 8-team B/C Open bracket, while the Hawkeyes, Venum and Baumann Lumber will be among 18 teams in the Division D tournament. Four women’s teams, including three from Pierre, will also be playing a round-robin format in the State Women’s D-1 Open Tournament with game times scheduled for later Saturday and Sunday.
