SALEM, S.D. – The Chamberlain girls and Flandreau boys took home team honors in the McCook Central-Montrose Invitational cross country meet, held Tuesday at McCook Country Club. bLed by medalist Ally Hough’s winning time of 18:28.49, Chamberlain edged out Winner Area 14 to 21 for the girls’ title. Flandreau (45), Garretson (46) and James Valley Christian (47) rounded out the top five teams. Chamberlain’s Kisney Evans ran a time of 19:41.74 to place 5th. Flandreau did not put a runner in the top five, but edged out Winner Area 30 to 38 for the boys’ title. Winner Area’s Kade Watson won the boys’ race, covering the 5,000 meters in 16:44.37 while Chamberlain’s Dominic Santiago came in second with a time of 16:54.56. Declan Tveit of Chamberlain finished 8th in a time of 17:29.63.
