WATERTOWN, S.D. – The Pierre Governor golf team fired a 343 team score to finish tied for sixth with Brookings on Tuesday at the Watertown Invitational golfed on the Cattail Crossing Country Club course. Watertown fired a 309 to win the tournment by two strokes over Harrisburg. Adam Salter of Rapid City Stevens won the individual medalist honors with a a round of 72 and one stroke victory over Gavin Hatch of Harrsburg. Pierre best score was a 79 by Carter Karst which tied him for 12th place and the only place winner for the Governors. Raef Briggs was next with a round 88 along with Grady Klundt who had an 88. Zane Baus also had an 88 while Sawyer Sonnenschein had a 92 and Luke Olson finished with a 99. The Governors will focus on Saturday and the ESD tournament at the Lakeview Country Club Course in Mitchell.
