Two state prison inmates missing in Rapid City have been placed on escape status.
38-year-old Christopher Bowen left the Rapid City Community Work Center without authorization this (Fri.) morning. Bowen is a white male. He is five-feet-ten inches tall and weighs 180 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. He is serving a 4-year, 9-month sentence for possession of a controlled substance from Brown County.
30-year-old Ira Wright failed to return to the Rapid City Community Work Center yesterday (Thurs.) following a job search. Wright is a Native American male. He is five-feet-ten-inches tall and weighs 125 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. He is serving a 9-year, 6-month sentence for grand theft from Pennington County.
If you see Bowen or Wright or know of either man’s whereabouts, please contact law enforcement immediately.
Second-degree escape is a Class 5 felony punishable by up to 5 years in prison.
