SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Summit League released its women’s basketball preseason poll on Monday morning, with South Dakota State being tabbed second. Tagyn Larson and Myah Selland were named to the All-Summit League Preseason First Team, while Tylee Irwin earned All-Summit League Preseason Second Team accolades. The poll is voted on by Summit League coaches, sports information directors and select media. SDSU is second in the poll behind the University of South Dakota who drew the top spot in the poll. USD recieved 20 first place votes while SDSU was second with 13 and Denver recieved the other first place vote and is third. Oral Roberts and Western Illinois round out the top five followed by North Dakota, North Dakota State, Omaha and Purdue Ft. Wayne. Ciara Duffy and Hannah Sjveren of the University of South Dakota join Larson and Selland form SDSU along with Lauren Loven and Madison Nelson of Denver on the Pre Season All Conference team.
