Governor Soccer Seasons Over

PIERRE, S.D. – The Pierre Governor boys and girls soccer teams had their seasons come to an abrupt end on Tuesday in the opening round of the State Class AA Soccer playoffs. The Governors boys could not muster any offense as Sioux Falls Roosevelt down the Governors 3-0 last night in Sioux Falls ending the Governors season. The Governor girls also had problems offensively as they were shutdown by Sioux Falls O’Gorman 2-1. The loss by Pierre means that there will be a guaranteed new State Champion this year. Pierre had won the title the last two seasons.
