The committee working on the details of a city dog park in Pierre has come up with a basic design for the park.
The Pierre City Commission unanimously approved the location on East Sully Avenue, next to the Pierre Community Orchard in July.
City Parks and Recreation director Tom Farnsworth says planning meetings included input from residents living near the dog park.
Farnsworth says the dog park will have different sections.
