MITCHELL, S.D. – The Pierre Governor girls volleyball team won their second straight match on Tuesday with a 3-0 sweep of the Mitchell Kernels in Mitchell. The Governors won by set scores of 25-15, 25-21, 25-22 to improve their record to 8 and 11 on the season. The Governors were led at the net by Josie Stevens who had 14 kills while Emry Heiss came in with 8. Megan Schuerenbrand led Mitchell with 9 kills. The Governors will wrap up the regular season on Thursday when they host Huron in the final home game and senior night for the Governors.
