RAPID CITY, S.D. – South Dakota School of Mines & Technology and Hardrocker football head coach Zach Tinker are parting ways in an announcment yesterday from South Dakota Mines. The Hardrockers finished the 2019 season with a 3-8 overall win-loss record and a 2-8 mark in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. Tinker spent eight years in the Hardrocker football program and four seasons as the head coach. Tinker came to SD Mines as the offensive coordinator and assistant head coach in 2012 under the direction of Stacy Collins. In 2016, he took over the head coaching duties where he accumulated an 18-26 overall record in four season — all in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
