PIERRE, S.D. – The Oahe Capitals varsity boys hockey team went 2 and 2 in a tournament in Rapid City losing in the championship game to the host Rushmore Thunder 6-5. Earlier in the tournament the Capitals had dropped a 5-4 decision to the Thunder losing in a shootout 2-1. The Capitals also shutout Watertown 10-0 and and Manitoba Wildcats 6-0. Kieran Duffy was in goal all four games and faced 94 shots on goal in the four games and made 82 total saves. Raef Briggs and Clay Ambach each had four goals in the four games for the Capitals while Elliot Lief added 3 goals in the games. The Capitals improved their record to 3-1-2 and will take this weekend off for Thanksgiving. The Capitals will open up league play December 8th at Yankton.

The Oahe Capitals JV squad got off to a good start as well over the weekend as they went 3-0 in Watertown JV Jamboree, beating Aberdeen 5-3, Watertown 8-1, and Brandon Valley 5-3.
