Nationally, today (Dec. 3) is known as Giving Tuesday.
In South Dakota, it’s the 2nd annual “South Dakota Gives” day.
Nonprofit 501 (c)(3) organizations across the state unite to celebrate generosity by asking supporters to come together to raise as much money as possible.
South Dakota Gives—the organization leading the effort– doesn’t receive any of the donations. The donations are made directly to the nonprofits, South Dakota Gives simply provides tools to help.
South Dakota Day of Giving is a chance to support causes and organizations you feel strongly about—whether its animals or art, food or farming, veterans or voting, there’s a non-profit organization hoping to put your donation to good use.
