SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – South Dakota State head cross country coach Rod DeHaven has been named the 2019 Men’s Cross Country Coach of the Year, while sophomore Joseph Minor-Williams has been named Men’s Cross Country Athlete of the Year by the Summit League. DeHaven’s award comes as his eighth on the men’s side, ninth overall (named Women’s Cross Country Coach of the Year in 2008), and fourth consecutive. DeHaven has won the men’s honor eight out of the 13 years the Jackrabbits have been in the league, which is the most of any coach in that span. No other active league coach has won the honor on the men’s side.
