PIERRE, S.D. – The Oahe Capitals Bantam A hockey team posted a 8-1 victory over Huron on Saturday. The Caps were up 6-0 with four of those goals being scored in the last five minutes of the first period. Carter Sanderson found the back of the net with the assist coming from Carter Gordon just two minutes into the game. A short 45 seconds later Jarron Beck found Nick Gray and he fired the puck in. The duo of Beck and Gray then found Barret Schweitzer for a goal at the 4:56 mark. The last four minutes of the game were busy and the Caps found the back of the net three more times with goals coming from Gordon with the assist credited to Sanderson & Keller Herman, Hermanon an assist by Gordon and Beck with Schweitzer getting the assist. The Second and third period was a bit more quite for the Capitals with Jayce Anderson scoring off an double assist by Sanderson & Gordon and the final goal came from Gray with Sanderson getting the assist again. Goalie Spencer Anderson took 7 shots on goals 6 saves. The Bantam A Capitals are back in action on Saturday at 6 pm against Aberdeen Cougars and Sunday at 3 pm against Watertown with both games at the Expo in Ft. Pierre.
