The South Dakota Senate State Affairs Committee approved a bill this morning (Wed.) that aims to lay out timeline requirements for zoning decisions.
Gov. Kristi Noem proposed SB157 and says it would provide certainty and predictability for how conditional use permits are heard across the state.
Noem says rural development projects are vital to the long-term success of our small towns, communities and families.
The bill passed on a 6-3 vote and now heads to the Senate floor.
