ABERDEEN, S.D. – The Pierre Governor girls basketball team had their struggles on the offensive end on Tuesday night as they were beaten by Aberdeen Central 60-32 in the final game of the regular season in Aberdeen. The Governors scored half of their 32 point total in the 4th quarter as Aberdeen Central built a 20 point lead early in the third period and would not relinquish it. Caytee Williams was the only double figure scorer for Pierre with 13 points. The Golden ?Eagles with 7 of 11 from beyond the 3-point line on the night and were led by Abby Kupeck with 22. Brooklyn Kusser had 12. Aberdeen Central also controlled the rebounding statistic in the game as they out-boarded the Governors 29-11. The loss dropped the Governor girls record to 7 and 13 on the season and they now await where they will be seeded and where they will play in the SoDak 16 a week from Friday.
