FT. PIERRE, S.D. – The White River Tigers are making a return trip to the State Class B Boys Basketball Tournament next week following their 59-46 win over Lyman in a SoDak 16 Boys Basketball State Tournament Qualifying game Tuesday night in Ft. Pierre. Nick Sayler scored 23 points to lead the Tigers and also surpassed the 1,000 point career scored mark for White River. Joe Sayler added 20 and Dylan Marshall had 11. Lyman’s Toby Estes finished with 14 points and Sam McClanahan added 11 points. The win was the third this season for White River over Lyman who finished the season with a 16-7 mark. White River improved to 20 and 3 and will be the 5th seed in the upcoming State Class B Boys Basketball tournament next week in Aberdeen. The Tigers will face 4th seed Platte-Geddes in the second game of the first day of the Tournament.
