To encourage social distancing while South Dakota works to combat the spread of the COVID-19 virus, Rawlins Municipal Library in Pierre is closed to walk-in traffic until March 23 and all programming is canceled until April.
Library users are still able to access some library services. Rawlins Library has a drive-up book drop for returning materials, as well as a walk-up exterior book drop by the main entrance. Patrons can call ahead to reserve items for pick up. The library also offers many online services allowing patrons to access downloadable books, audiobooks, magazines and newspapers.
Library staff will be available to provide support by phone or email from 10am-5pm, until normal operations resume. Staff can be reached at 605.773.7421 or rawlinslibrary@ci.pierre.sd.us.
