UPDATE (April 15, 2020)– The state Department of Health today said the COVID-19 case attributed to Brule County earlier this week, was an error. After further information was collected, the individual was found to actually be a resident of Minnehaha County.
Yesterday’s (April 12) numbers from the South Dakota Department of Health show the first positive cases of COVID-19 have shown up in residents of Sully and Walworth counties.
Hughes County information shows five positive cases, with three of those being recovered. One case is reported in Corson County. The one case reported in Faulk County has recovered. Two cases have been reported in Lyman County, with both of those having recovered.
There are still no positive COVID-19 cases reported in these counties in central South Dakota: Brule, Stanley, Jones, Hyde, Edmunds, Buffalo, Hand, Potter, Campbell, McPherson, Dewey, Ziebach and Haakon.
