PIERRE, S.D. – The Oahe Fastpitch Softball League are scheduled to begin games on June 15th with practices until then. There have been health and safety guidelines set due to the Coronavirus (COVID 19) Pandemic that the softball league have or will present to the city to get offical use of the fields at the Oahe Softball Complex. Among some of the guidelines, while it is not mandatory, it is recomended that all umpires, players, spectators, and coaches wear facemask or a face bandana while at the fields and social distancing guidelines be followed. While a hand sanitizing station will be located at each field, all specators are being encouraged to bring their own sanitizer. Only players, umpires and a maximum of 3 coaches along with medical personell will be allowed on the field. Players are also being asked to refrain from sharing equipment while game balls will be wiped down between innings and Teams will not be allowed to shake hands after each game.
