ABERDEEN – Northern State has added two athletes to the women’s Track and Field/Cross Country team. Sami Shields returns home to Aberdeen. The Central High alum and distance runner started her collegiate career at Fresno State. At Central, she was an all-conference honoree in cross country. Head coach Lynne Dingman has also added jumper Shona Juliana from Willemstad, Curacao. Juliana won the 2016 national championship in the long jump in Trinidad and Tobago. She also has won national championships in Curacao in the 100 meters, long jump and triple jump.
