SIOUX FALLS – University of Sioux Falls track and field/cross country athletes Chandler Nelson of Mitchell and Billy Beseman have been named to the CoSIDA Academic All-America Division II Track and Field/Cross Country Team.
Nelson, a senior, earned a 3.97 GPA, majoring in business administration and marketing. He earned Academic All-NSIC honors indoors and outdoors this year and has six total in his career. Four times, he has been named to the NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence (3.6 GPA or higher). He is in the top 10 among USF throwers in the indoor and outdoor shot put, weight throw and discus. Nelson has had four top-eight finishes at the NSIC Indoor or Outdoor Championships.
Beseman, a senior from Perham, Minnesota, graduated in May with a Master of Business Administration degree. He is a two-time All-American and was part of USF’s eighth-place distance medley relay team at the 2018 NCAA Division II National Championships.
