LILBURN, GA – South Dakota is number one in the 2019-20 Women’s Basketball Coaches Association Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll for NCAA Division I. All 13 eligible Coyote players made the Summit League honor roll and combined for a 3.79 grade point average. Onida’s Chloe Lamb and three-time Academic All-American Ciara Duffy were on the All-Academic Summit League team. USD is in the WBCA’s Academic Top 25 for the fifth straight year. In four of those seasons, the Coyotes have been in the top five.
South Dakota State tied for 11th on the WBCA list. The Jackrabbits’ cumulative GPA was 3.69. Under head coach Aaron Johnston, SDSU has made the Academic Top 25 12 times since becoming a Division I program.
Augustana is 17th in the top 25 for Division II. The Vikings made the list for the sixth consecutive season, compiling a team GPA of 3.67.
Mount Marty made the NAIA list at number six. The Lancers’ team GPA was 3.725, putting them in the top 10 for the eighth consecutive season.
