August is National Women’s Suffrage Month, with the 100th anniversary of women’s right to vote being August 26.
Former First Lady of South Dakota and Her Vote. Her Voice. delegation chair Patricia Miller says her group is commemorating the achievement by holding over 20 special events and sharing the story of the women who led the way for others.

Her Voice. is a diverse group of nonpartisan professionals bringing relevance to the historical topic while connecting people to the present issue: history is happening and still being made today. Funds raised by the Her Vote. Her Voice. campaign will support women’s history preservation through projects defined by the South Dakota State Historical Society and Historical Society Foundation.
