SIOUX FALLS – South Dakota men’s basketball player Stanley Umude was named Wednesday as the Summit League Athlete of the Month for December.
Umude led the league during December with 24.2 points per game. In six games, Umude pulled down 7.3 rebounds per game and had 16 total assists. His 41-point game against South Dakota State on December 12 at the Dakota Showcase at the Sanford Pentagon is tied with Iowa’s Luka Garza for the most points in a game by a men’s Division I player this season.
