A woman from Onida has been recognized by South Dakota’s tourism industry for her hospitality and customer service.
Four Ruth Ziolkowski Outstanding Hospitality & Customer Service Award are given annually, one in each of the state’s four tourism regions.
Gov. Kristi Noem presented one of the honors to Debra Knodel who works at the Governor’s Inn in Pierre.
Knodel has worked at the Governor’s Inn for 20 years and worked at the Days Inn for ten years prior to that. She has a life-long history of customer service and hospitality work.
Knodel says she enjoys getting to know the customers.
The Ruth Ziolkowski Outstanding Hospitality & Customer Service Award recognizes individuals who provide remarkable customer service and demonstrate an outstanding spirit of hospitality, warmth and genuine kindness to visitors.
