HOPEWELL, NJ – South Dakota center Hannah Sjerven and South Dakota State forward Myah Selland have been named as finalists for the Becky Hammon Mid-Major Player of the Year presented by Her Hoop Stats.
Sjerven, a two-time Summit League Defensive Player of the Year and two-time first-team all-conference selection, is averaging 17.1 points per game, 9.7 rebounds and 2.3 blocks. She has helped USD to a second straight Summit League tournament title and a third straight NCAA Tournament berth.
Selland, whose season is over due to a knee injury, was a six-time Summit League Player of the Week this season. She averaged 19.2 points per game to lead the conference and shot over 51 percent from the field.
