SIOUX FALLS – Top seed Sioux Falls Washington and Rapid City Stevens had semifinal wins Friday at the SDHSAA Girls AA State Championship at the Sanford Pentagon.
Sioux Falls Washington 55, O’Gorman 49
The duo of Ndjakalenga Mwenentanda and Sydni Schetnan helped Washington rally with a 21-point fourth quarter to top O’Gorman. Mwenentanda scored 24 with 10 rebounds. Schetnan had 13 points with 11 rebounds.
Washington (19-2) will attempt to win its seventh championship and first since 2015 on Saturday.
Rapid City Stevens 51, Brandon Valley 45
Jayda McNabb notched 16 points and nine rebounds as Stevens (17-5) advanced to its fourth title game in program history and first since 2010. The Raiders have not won a state girls championship.
Bailee Sobczak scored 13 with eight rebounds for Stevens.
