KANSAS CITY, MO – South Dakota State guard Baylor Scheierman and South Dakota guard Stanley Umude have earned second team all-District 12 honors by the National Association of Basketball Coaches.
Scheierman, a sophomore from Aurora, Nebraska, averaged 15.4 points, 9.2 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game. He shot 49% on all field goals, 43% on three-pointers and 84% of free throws. His 13 double-doubles are 10th in Division I.
Umude, a senior from San Antonio, Texas, is ninth in the nation in scoring at 21.9 points per game. He scored at least 20 in 14 games this season and over 30 five times, including a career high 41 against South Dakota State in December.
Both players were first team All-Summit League.
