SIOUX CITY, IA – Dakota State defeated previously undefeated Sterling Thursday 91-77 in the round of 16 of the NAIA Women’s Tournament. Sterling had been 30-0. The Trojans won their 27th straight game, extending the school record.
Morgan Koepsell scored 27 points for DSU off the bench in just 20 minutes. Koepsell was 10-of-14 shooting with 10 rebounds.
Dakota State (27-3) will meet top seed Thomas More College in a quarterfinal on Saturday.
