Beginning Monday (April 5), Avera Medical Group Pierre Clinic urgent care hours will return to Monday-Friday 8am–7pm and Saturday 9am–noon. Also starting Monday, urgent care will no longer require an appointment and will accommodate walk-ins.
Vice President of Clinic Operations Karl Richards says the health and safety of patients and employees continues to be their highest priority. He says they know patients benefit from extended hours and walk-in appointment availability.
Richards says it’s important to remember the pandemic is not over. He says people should still wear a mask, wash their hands and practice social distancing. He also encourages everyone to get the COVID-19 vaccine as soon as they’re able to.
Avera recently launched an online option to schedule COVID-19 vaccine appointments. South Dakota residents seeking vaccination can now go to Avera.org/covid-vaccine and click on the “Schedule Your Appointment” button to self-schedule.
