VERMILLION – Friday’s scheduled South Dakota football game against Northern Iowa has been cancelled due to a positive COVID-19 test and contact tracing within USD’s players coaches, managers and staff.
The game, which had been scheduled to be played at the DakotaDome, will not be rescheduled.
This is the second straight Coyotes game to be cancelled. Last week’s scheduled home game with North Dakota State was cancelled just hours before kickoff due to a positive test within the Bison program.
USD is scheduled to play South Dakota State on Saturday, April 10 in Brookings, then host Western Illinois on Saturday, April 17 in a rescheduling of the season opener.
