A 23 year old man from Pierre was arrested yesterday morning (Wed. 8:51am) for Theft of a Motor Vehicle Over $1000 and DUI.
Information from the Pierre Police Department says Kenneth Jewett took the car from a business in the 300 block of W. Sioux Avenue in Pierre. The Stanley County Sheriff’s Office located the vehicle at a convenience store in Fort Pierre shortly after the vehicle had been reported stolen. Jewett was arrested on scene by a Pierre Police officer and transported to the Hughes County Jail.
