Fort Pierre voters in Ward I have reelected Greg Kenzy to a two year term on the city council while voters in Ward III elected Rick Cronin to a one year term.
Unofficial election results from yesterday (April 13, 2021) show Kenzy defeated challenger Brady Gaer 55-33. Cronin edged out incumbent Randy Seiler by three votes, 70-67.
Callie Iverson was unopposed for a two year term in Ward II and Todd Bernhard was unopposed for a two year term in Ward III.
The canvass board will meet Monday (April 19) to finalize the vote count. The winners will be sworn in May 3.
There was 19.51% voter turnout in Ward I (88 of a possible 450) and 24.25% voter turnout in Ward III (137 of the possible 682).
