The past year I’ve been on a wild and crazy adventure! One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is you can’t make others like you! I use to spend so much time making sure everyone like me. Recently, I’ve learned I’m an acquired taste and not everyone will like me! Ever since I’ve stopped putting energy into caring what others think, I’m way happier. I’m able to be my true self and folks are really liking me for that! My thing is, if they don’t like me, that’s their loss, not mine. I don’t want that to sound mean at all because it’s not meant to be!
According to an article done by METRO, the average person stops caring about what others think of them at the age of 46. They asked folks about relationships, careers, life events, and other things. The answers showed as we get older, we get more confident in different areas of life. This totally makes sense because you are more mature and you have experienced more to back up your beliefs. That’s where the confidence comes from!
My thought is, if someone doesn’t like you, you don’t need them in your life. Only put folks in your life that are going to build you up and put you up for success! I know this is easier said than done friend, but once you do it, you won’t regret it! I promise! Hopefully, this helps!
