PIERRE – Tyler Skelton hit a go-ahead sixth inning homer Sunday as the Pierre Trappers broke their seven-game losing streak with a 6-4 win over the Sioux Falls Sunfish at Hyde Stadium.
Skelton, who also had a single and double, scored one of two runs in the eighth inning that extended the lead for the Trappers (10-23) to 6-3. Kaiden Cardoso, Patrick Connor and Nick Strong each had two hits. Nick McCollum (2-2) pitched four innings of relief for the win, allowing two runs and striking out five. Starter Fischer Rausch gave up two runs and four hits and five innings with six strikeouts.
