PIERRE – Western Nebraska hit the Pierre Trappers hard on offense for the second straight night for a 14-6 win Thursday at Hyde Stadium and a sweep of the two-game series.
Cade McGee hit a two-run homer and drove in three runs for the Pioneers. Jake English and Jared Mazzaferro also each drove in three.
Garret Hill hit a two-run triple for the Trappers (10-25).
The Trappers announced that this Saturday’s doubleheader with the Hastings Sodbusters at Hyde Stadium will be at 5:35. There will be two seven-inning games to help make up for a rainout earlier in the season.
