Denver Air Connection adding flights to Texas and Arizona to its service area

Watertown and Pierre’s Essential Air Service provider– Denver Air Connection– is adding two more major markets to its list of destinations.

The airline will begin service to Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas, Nov. 1, 2021. They’ll begin service to Phoenix Dec. 15, 2021.

Last week, the US Department of Transportation announced it will not re-bid the Essential Air Service contracts for Pierre or Watertown.

A re-bid was requested by SkyWest Airlines, Governor Kristi Noem’s office and the cities of Watertown and Pierre.

Denver Air’s contract to serve the two regional airports runs through May 31, 2023.
