Milbank native with nearly two decades of experience in agriculture law and national level policy making has been chosen to lead the South Dakota Corn organization.
Information from the group says, “Danita Murray is an employee of the South Dakota Corn Growers Association, but will be acting as the executive director of the Growers and the Council, the two organizations comprising SD Corn.”
Murray been working in Washington, DC, and tells DRG Media Group she’s excited to come back home.
Murray, an attorney, has served as both counsel and policy advisor in the US Senate Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry Committee and the US House Agriculture Committee. She has also worked as the Director of Public Policy for the National Corn Growers Association– all experiences she feels will benefit SD Corn members.
Murray thinks the legal landscape of agriculture will only continue to grow.
Murray is a graduate of South Dakota State University and graduated with honors from Drake University School of Law. She will begin her new leadership role Dec. 1, 2021.
