UPDATE NOVEMBER 4, 2021:
A minimum-security inmate who was placed on escape status last month is back in custody.
Inmate Nathaniel Buckley was apprehended by law enforcement in Rapid City yesterday (Nov. 4, 2021). He was placed on escape status Oct. 21, 2021, after leaving his community service jobsite in Rapid City without authorization.
Buckley is currently being held in the Pennington County Jail.
Failure to return from assignment constitutes second-degree escape, a Class 5 felony punishable by up to 5 years in prison.

A minimum-security inmate has been placed on escape status after leaving their community service jobsite in Rapid City yesterday (Oct. 21, 2021).
Inmate Nathaniel Buckley is currently serving a sentence for fourth-offense DUI from Meade County.
Buckley is a 28-year old Native American. He is 5-feet-8-inches tall and weighs approximately 170 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes.
