Chairman David Scott of Georgia and Commodity Exchanges, Energy, and Credit Subcommittee Chair Antonio Delgado released the following statement congratulating Christy Goldsmith Romero, Kristin N. Johnson, Summer Kristine Mersinger, and Caroline D. Pham on their approval by the Senate as Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) Commissioners:
“I extend my sincerest congratulations to the newest CFTC Commissioners. As a Georgian, I am proud to see Kristin Johnson, an Emory Law Professor, among this group of individuals, and look forward to working with them all,” said Chairman David Scott.
“They each bring important experience and perspective to the roles, and I trust that they will be ready to work alongside our House Agriculture Committee to ensure that our markets are strong and our consumers are protected,” Chairman David Scott continued.
