Drefs Named Pierre Chamber Of Commerce Programs And Events Director

PIERRE – Pierre native Clarissia Drefs has been named as the new Director of Programs and Events for the Pierre Area Chamber of Commerce.

Chamber CEO Tia Kafka said of Drefs, “Clarissia has a passion for the area communities and helping businesses.  She will be a great asset to our team and will bring new ideas to the table to help members grow and market their businesses.”

Drefs has been with BankWest since 2016 as a universal support specialist I and a cash management specialist II.  Drefs is active with the Central South Dakota chapter of the American Heart Association, Leadership Pierre and community volunteering.

Of her new opportunity, Drefs said, “I am excited to join the Chamber team and look forward to getting to know the Chamber members.  I believe in the work the Chamber does and I am honored to be able to give back to the community in this role.”
