RAPID CITY – The Lincoln boys tennis dynasty continues.
Sioux Falls Lincoln won its eighth consecutive SDHSAA Boys Tennis AA state championship when the tournament concluded Friday.
Lincoln held off Sioux Falls Washington. The Patriots amassed 535 points. The Warriors scored 522.
Gage Gohl of Lincoln repeated as the top flight singles champion. Lincoln players have now won that title for seven consecutive state tournaments. Gohl and Rocky McKenzie repeated as the top flight doubles champions. Lincoln teams have won this title in seven of the last eight state tournaments.
Overall, Lincoln won three singles titles and one in doubles. Washington won two singles and two doubles flights.
