Katie Gregg recently joined the South Dakota 4-H team in Walworth County as the 4-H Youth Program Advisor.
“Our 4-H team is so excited to have Katie Gregg join us in Walworth County,” said Oakley G. Perry, SDSU Extension 4-H County Operations and Professional Development Program Manager. “As a 4-H parent and recent volunteer, Katie understands how important our work is for the youth of Walworth County. Katie joins us with experience in advertising, marketing, and building strong relationships. We couldn’t be more excited to see what Katie is able to accomplish.”
Gregg obtained a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from SDSU in 2000 and currently works on her family’s ranch. A past 4-H member herself and with children in the program, Gregg brings real life knowledge and experience to the role.
As the youth program advisor, Gregg hopes to keep the 4-H program alive in Walworth County by promoting the program and working with kids.
“I want to reach out to kids in all walks of life and give them the opportunity to learn about 4-H. I want to encourage them to explore their own interests and talents, and ultimately, join Walworth County 4-H,” said Gregg.
