Many area schools will be represented this weekend at the South Dakota State High School Clay Target League State Tournament in Aberdeen.
The trap shooting tournament is set for Saturday and Sunday at the Aberdeen Gun Club. There will be competitors from Bowdle, Chamberlain, Gettysburg, Herreid, Kimball, Lyman, Pierre, Platte-Geddes and Winner/Colome.
The skeet shooting tournament, also at the Aberdeen Gun Club, begins Friday and runs through Sunday. Chamberlain, Pierre, Stanley County and Winner/Colome will have contestants in this event.
Overall, nearly 850 athletes will compete in trap shooting and just over 100 in skeet.
