RAPID CITY – Miscues cost Post 8 Sunday and helped keep the Eights winless. Post 8 committed six errors in a 11-3 loss to Casper (WY), then an error led to the winning run scoring in the bottom of the seventh in a 9-8 win for Rapid City Post 22, both at Fitzgerald Stadium.

Casper scored six runs in the first two innings. Post 8 lost despite having an 11-10 hit advantage. Matthew Hanson hit an RBI triple and had two hits, as did Jett Zabel, Matthew Coverdale, Conner Bruce and Miles Doyle.
Rapid City Post 22 9, Post 8 8
Carter Sanderson committed the error that allowed the Hardhats to score the winning run in the bottom of the seventh. This was the fifth error of the game for Post 8 (0-11).
Post 8 led 6-2 after three and a half innings before Post 22 scored four in the fourth. Zabel had an RBI single in the fifth to put Post 8 in front 7-6, followed by a Ridge Leimbach RBI double in the sixth. The home team then rallied again with two in their sixth. Leimbach had three hits, including a double, and two RBI. Sanderson had two hits, including a double, and two RBI.
