PIERRE – Post 8 continues to take its lumps.
Rapid City Post 320 Stars kept the Eights winless for 2023 Wednesday with a doubleheader sweep at Hyde Stadium, 16-2 and 18-5. Post 8 is now 0-15.
Game 1 – RC Post 320 Stars 16, Post 8 2
Jayce Wetzler led the Stars’ attack, going three-for-three with a double and four RBI. Matthew Coverdale and Spencer Easland drove in the Post 8 runs.
Game 2 – RC Post 320 Stars 18, Post 8 5
Wetzler had a double, single and three more RBI for the Stars. Jonny Lyons had a double, single and RBI for Post 8. Jett Zabel, Ridge Limbach, Matthew Coverdale and Cooper Terwilliger also drove in runs for the Eights.
