Rosebud man arrested charged with assault after weekend incident in Pierre

A 33 year old man from Rosebud was arrested on an assault charge in Pierre over the weekend.

Information from the Pierre Police Department says Saturday (June 17, 2023) at approximately 11am (10:50am) officers were called to the 700 block of East Dakota Avenue to investigate a reported assault. During the investigation, officers learned Sheldon Denoyer had assaulted the victim.

Denoyer was arrested for Simple Assault Domestic and for unrelated outstanding warrants.
